The Greek Women of Ladhiq
This track returns to the percussion style of Morocco
played by Simon Webster. The singer is Maria Joao Branco
who has sung on other Syriana tracks in the past. Maria
translated Battutah's words into her native Portugeuse
which gives the listener a new vocal palette. Trumpet by
Pip Eastop & Guitars by Neil Stacey combined with
Hammond Organ present a contemporary feel with space
and time suspended between the vocal exchanges.
